About Me
My name is Santiago Gomez, I am self motivated and constantly seeking new things to learn so that I may improve myself in any way I can. I studied Mechanical Engineering at CUNY City College of New York for 3 years, where I took courses in Computer Aided Design, Manufacturing, Numerical Methods, Fluid Mechanics, Heat Transfer, Mechanics of Materials, and Materials Sciene, to name a few. After these 3 years I realized that Mechanical Engineering was not for me and thus decided to transfer to CUNY Queens College to pursue a B.A. in Computer Science. Although I do have a lot of formal education, I do not rely on it as my only source of knowledge and instead I often opt to be self-taught.
I have studied many subjects on my own, some of which include Computer Science, Psychology, mathematics, finance, and languages. To be more specific, I have learned JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and Russian, among others, on my own.
The work experience that I possess is as a Barback, where I developed a strong work ethic, and as a Server, where I constantly interacted with customers and further developed my soft skills.
